Our Story

About Us

Mawdesley Village hall was built in 1972 from funds raised by Villagers to provide residents of Mawdesley and surrounding areas, a facility for organisations and groups of all ages and interests to meet. It has since been extended with the addition of an Annex (Small Hall), Bar Lounge and a new kitchen.

MVH is a registered charity (No. 521251) and is administered and run by volunteers who form the MVH Management Committee. This committee comprises of elected members and representatives from organisations within Mawdesley.

A continuing programme of maintenance and development has provided Mawdesley with outstanding facilities.

Over the years MVH has grown to become an excellent venue for Wedding receptions, Anniversaries, Christenings parties, charity fund raising events, concerts, adult and children’s birthday parties, dances and meetings. It is used by many community groups and is an ideal venue for training days and conferences, having a fully fitted IT suite. We are centrally located between Ormskirk, Chorley and Leyland, and just a mile or two from the neighbouring villages of Eccleston, Parbold and Croston
